Dandeli -The Hidden Treasure

Welcome, fellow explorers, to a land where the echoes of history intertwine with the whispers of nature. Dandeli, a graphic   city nestled in the heart of Karnataka, India, has a story to tell. Join me on a trip as we unravel the witch in history and mesmerize the natural beauty of this alluring destination. Dandeli is a hidden treasure located in the Western Ghats of north Karnataka, 550 km from Mumbai.

Dandeli is a dense sanctuary on the northern border of Karnataka…! Although the water in this river basin is clean, it looks black, which is why the river was called Kali River. The river continues west and joins the Arabian Sea near Karwar. You must visit this forest at least once to realize the wonderful beauty of nature.  Biodiversity is the main attraction of this evergreen forest located at an altitude of about 473 meters above sea level.

The most common and convenient route for traveling from Pune to Badami is as follows:

Panvel -> Pune -> Satara -> Kolhapur-> Belgaum -> Nappanee  -> Dandeli = Total 550 Kms
