Nanemachi Waterfall Trek – A Hidden Paradise Explore

If you’re looking for an offbeat monsoon destination in Maharashtra that combines adventure, serenity, and untouched natural beauty Nanemachi Waterfall is your calling.

This weekend, I teamed up with my friend Ankit and set off on an unforgettable journey to this hidden gem. Here’s a capturing every scenic twist and turn from the roads of Pune to the peaceful splash of Nanemachi’s twin waterfalls.

Gateway to the Nanemachi Waterfall Trek

Our day began bright and early as we hit the road from Pune, heading toward Kapurhol. As we crossed the peaceful town of Bhor, the scenery began to shift. The winding roads were now flanked by hills wrapped in vibrant green.

Along the way, we paused to capture some aerial drone shots showcasing the expansive views of the Western Ghats in their monsoon glory.

We soon reached the spellbinding Varandha Ghat, one of the most picturesque stretches in Maharashtra. The misty air, cascading mini waterfalls, and dramatic cliffs made us feel like we were riding through a dream. We also spotted a signboard pointing toward Mohangad Fort, adding a historic flavor to our scenic route.

Post Varandha Ghat, we entered Birwadi, a little village in Raigad. From there, the route took us through Dahiwadi to Waki B village the final motorable point before the adventure turned wild.

Nanemachi Waterfall Trek, Camping & the Two-Stage Marvel

The Nanemachi Waterfall Trek began with a soulful touch a Hanuman temple greeted us at the start of the trail, silently blessing our journey.

We then plunged into the forest trail, surrounded by thick foliage, chirping birds, and the gentle sounds of a flowing stream. The monsoon had painted everything in a fresh coat of green, and though the path was a bit slippery, the forest was alive and welcoming.

After a rejuvenating jungle trek, we were greeted by the grand reveal  the magnificent Nanemachi Waterfall, cascading down in two mesmerizing stages. The raw beauty and thunderous sound of the waterfall left us speechless.

We trekked closer to the first stage, a stunning spot where we decided to camp. Tents were set up, food was served hot, and the sound of the waterfall became our evening rhythm. Surrounded by pure wilderness, the entire camping experience felt like a dream come true.
