The Mallikarjuna Group of Temples

The Mallikarjuna Group of Temples is a complex of temples located in the town of Badami in the Indian state of Karnataka. The temples were built during the 7th and 8th centuries AD, during the reign of the Chalukya dynasty.

The complex consists of four temples, dedicated to various Hindu deities. The main temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known as the Mallikarjuna Temple. The other three temples are dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Nataraja.

The Mallikarjuna Temple is the largest and most ornate temple in the complex, with intricate carvings and sculptures adorning its walls and pillars. The temple also has a large courtyard and a pillared hall.

The Ganesha Temple is smaller and simpler in design, with a single shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesha.

The Vishnu Temple is also relatively small, with a single shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

The Nataraja Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as Nataraja, the Lord of Dance. The temple has a large statue of Nataraja, along with other sculptures depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.

The Mallikarjuna Group of Temples is a great example of the exquisite architecture and intricate carvings of the Chalukya dynasty. The temples are a popular tourist attraction and are visited by thousands of people every year.
